Hmmm... seems there are effects build in... Chorus seems logical according to the picture... it's no doubt a synth of sorts, and definitely not a Pro2 module...

but if the prologue was in the past, then I assume we'l see yet an itteration of an old product... I bet though, that the effects will be digital.

I guess my hope is that at some time, Dav will make a modern version of the Prophet 2000... sampler synth.

I'm betting it's somewhere in Prophet 600 land. The P'08 is a bit long in the tooth so something between the Mopho X4 and Prophet 12 seems logical. I doubt it's a mono synth because (A) there's loads of them (including DSI ones) on the market, and (B) chorus seems like a standard issue effect for poly synths.

So I'm guessing we're looking at a 2 oscillator 6 voice poly, possibly with new continuously variable oscillator shapes and discrete filters, and a digital FX section most likely with chorus, delay, and ensemble FX.

Anyway, I don't believe it can be a huge monster synth because it has not been long since the Pro2 was released, so I bet it's something that is based on technology DSI allready created, and then with a few bells and whistles on top. Dave has also created a new module DSM02... there must be a limit to how many new products he can spit out in such short time since the Pro2.

But I'm exited to find out what it really is :)

Aaaand it's a Prophet 6, with the Sequential name. Looks really nice in my opinion.
VCO's, a filter inspired by the original Prophet 5 filter (hope it's the same one as in the Pro 2, that one is really good) and a digital effects section. The interface looks quite hands-on.
Sadly, only one LFO.

Who's buying one? :)

From the point-of-view of "what would I rather own?" I'd lean slightly toward a Pro 2. There's a lot about the Prophet 6 that's crazy appealing. It would look absolutely smashing sitting on my grandma's antique side table in my front room. But if you're holding a water pistol full of grape jam up to my head and asking for a decision or my hair gets it, my gut says Pro 2 wins. For me.

Different synths, but yes, if I had to choose I'd choose the Pro 2 as well. I have owned it for a few months now and for both programming and controlling external synths it is a monster. I am very intrigued by the Prophet 6 as well though. The Pro 2 has polyphonic capabilities but it's not really a full blown poly. I like the sound from what I have heard even though I want to hear more.
Now I just have to think about what to sell to fund it, it ain't the Pro 2 for sure at least. ;)
