updating OS via USB

Information and discussion about the DSI Tempest.

updating OS via USB

Postby vowel » Sun Jun 29, 2014 7:20 am

Hi,

Seems I just got my Tempest as the old forum went down…
Q: I have main OS 1.3.0 installed on receiving machine.
I want to record non-quantized beats - I believe this is possible with update 1.3.0.6.
Can I do this via USB?
If so, is it a straight forward process or do I still need SysEx Librarian or similar?
If not is MBox2pro an acceptable interface (a lot of other mbox/digi interfaces were listed as being a problem).

TIA,
L.

send us a note at support@davesmithinstruments.com for the OS. You can load the 1.3.1.12 OS via USB. It's good to note that the MBox is a MIDI interface which is known to be incompatible in sending Sysex messages to our synths.
