Beta OS info?

Beta OS info?

Postby fullofkittens » Sun Jun 29, 2014 4:29 pm

I have the latest beta OS (I think), but now I don't know what's in it.

Does anybody have a copy/paste of the OS release notes for the beta OS's?

Thanks,
FoK

Can't remember what the betas were, but here goes:

1.2.6.18 :
Tempest_Main_1.2.6.18.syx
(585.51 KiB) Downloaded 83 times

1.3.0.6:
Tempest_Main_1.3.0.6.syx
(585.51 KiB) Downloaded 92 times

1.3.1.11:
Tempest_Main_1.3.1.11.syx
(585.51 KiB) Downloaded 80 times

Can only attach 3 files so I'll put the other one...

Hi, I patched my tempest with the last OS, everything is in place but the arpeggiator. I´ve read the setting should be shown in the menu in pad mode, but it doesn´t. Do I have to install some other files?

Thanks (:

If you have the latest BETA OS, try loading up a synth sound, go to 16 tunings mode, enable roll. Play a few pads. It should function fine now. Note you can turn the knob to select up, down, and a few other settings. The arp mode in 16 tunings is awesome. Record an arp, copy the notes to a different sound and detune. It's a lot of fun!

This was DSI's response about what's in the most recent beta:
Thank you for your inquiry, I would be glad to assist you. You will find a list of added features on the 1.3.1.12 OS below:

In copy sound mode, hitting the same pad twice now swaps sound (and soft enc selected flags) between layer A+B

Added copy flags to copy sound params, sequencer params, note FX and mixer params independently

Added arpeggiator
i. Modes: Retrigger (normal roll mode), up, down, updown, random, assign
ii. Works in 16 Tunings/Levels/Sounds pad modes

Switched soft encoder assignments in 16 tunings pad mode, moving scale to 4th encoder so 1st encoder can be locked to quantize amount (consistent across all modes now)

Added roll mode params that are accessible in 16 Tunings/Levels/Sounds pad screens when roll is active

Added MIDI CC assignments on main pad MIDI channel for basic beatwide control:
12 - Distortion
13 - Compression
20 - Beatwide All Osc Pitch
21 - Beatwide Feedback
22 - Beatwide LPF Cutoff
23 - Beatwide LPF Resonance
24 - Beatwide LPF Audio Mod
25 - Beatwide HPF Cutoff
26 - Beatwide All Env Attack
27 - Beatwide All Env Decay

Added system variable for solo/mute mode: 'seq+live' or 'seq only'

Added system variable for sound slider mode: 'step' or 'realtime'

Added 8 bar handling in sequencer

Added Quantize Off value for quantization. Records just like 32nd triplet and auto populates the tick delay variable based on timing

What are the latest versions of the Tempest Voice and Tempest Panel files?
I've got Tempest_Voice_1.2.0 and Tempest_Panel_1.3.

That's what I've got on mine. I think I checked about a month ago.

Right here... this is the forum that Pym (Chris) their coder is posting OS updates of all DSI products, and also Carson is there.

New update out now. Still a beta but it has free-running LFO's.

Remember to update both the main OS and the voice OS. If you do one and not the other, things get kinda weird.
