This one's for Sacred Synthesis  ;)

Here's my YouTube description:

The Sarabande from J. S. Bach's second French Suite played on the DSI Prophet '08 and Korg MS-20 mini.

To play comfortably I connected the Prophet via MIDI to the MS-20 and turned local control off, using another keyboard (my DX-7 II's) to play the Prophet. So the top keyboard plays the MS-20 and the bottom one the Prophet '08.

Usual effects provided by the Maxon AD-900 analog delay (only on MS-20) and the Lexicon MX-300 (reverberation for both instruments).

Everything played live as you see it here; plain recording straight from my mixer/interface into Logic as 96kHz / 24 bit audio.

Full audio quality available on my SoundCloud page, as always.

Enjoy!

Strange quark star,

I always like hearing traditonal classical done on synth. Is this originally meant as a harpsicord piece?

I hope you liked it!

Yes, the French Suites were written for the harpsichord/clavichord. I am learning to play them on the piano but really love to adapt them to synthesizers, as they are always at least duophonic. This one's got three voices, but the Allemande from this second French Suite has four! This Mono+Polysynth approach obviously won't work there, but maybe it will sound good when I finally receive my Sub 37.

Really nice demo there! Really nice to hear someone using the MS20-mini without overdriving it's sound because the MS20 has many sweet spots beyond what many other's show in demos. I learned synthesis back in 1982 on original MS20 and actually resisted GAS and never bought the mini but actually glad I did wait because Moog made the Sub 37 and have been enjoying mine for a month now and love it. It's the Korg Arp remake that only has my interest at this point as think it's unique sound/filter will add even more diversity to my sound...only hoping it does not have mini keys
Just an alien living amongst humanity...we are almost finished, just have a bit more probing to do.
